Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need for my first maintenance application?

A maintenance application starts with completing the J101 form. You will need to provide a breakdown of your household and child's monthly expenses. The best way to do this is to have your last 3 or 6 months' bank statements and comb through your expenses. The J101 provides a breakdown into the different categories of expenses.

You will also need to compile an affidavit stating the facts of your case and what you are asking for (the prayer). I can assist you with both of these. One session will provide you with an overview of what to expect during your maintenance application, what documents you will need to bring with you as well as what to expect on the day.

It is advised that more than one session is booked to provide more in-depth help into your specific case. 

How do I schedule an appointment?

Choose between an individual session or a package and select a date and time for your first appointment. Felicity will be in touch with you via Whatsapp to let you know her availability if there needs to be a change. The call will take place on WhatsApp. 

How long will it take to apply for maintenance?

Maintenance applications can be a lengthy process because of the large amount of evidence you need to provide. Felicity can significantly assist you to reduce delays faced during your application because of a lack of knowledge and understanding about the process.
